Current Residents

Resident Services

Resident services encompass more than just moving a resident in or out of their home; it's about the lifestyle we help create while families are living in the North Country. We achieve this through our strong, experienced and accredited community-based management staff, all of whom are dedicated to the needs of their residents.

To request maintenance or repairs, learn about service request response times or set up permission for maintenance to perform request without your attendance, visit our Maintenance Request Form.

We organize community activities to encourage neighbor interaction thereby developing strong support networks to help residents to endure the fast paced, highly stressful military lifestyle.   Activities and programs based on a variety of interests and for diverse demographics are organized providing neighbors opportunities to socialize and make friendships.   These programs create safe, cost-free opportunities for families and children in their immediate neighborhood.  Successful programs like movie night, SYNERGY, block parties, quarterly baby showers are planned regularly. Please view the Events Calendar for a detailed listing of community activities.

Services such as free use of internet, care package supplies, indoor play areas and fitness facilities remain available at the community center, where families can congregate.

For Current Residents waiting for an on-post moveover, please note the following important policy changes, effective 15 April 2010:

Policy Change 1:  CGO current residents on the wait list that are living in redesignated neighborhoods will be changed from both Priority 3 and Priority 4 to Priority 2 effective 1 July 2010.  This policy change will ensure that we give priority placement to our current residents wishing to move into our new homes. Unfortunately, this will lengthen the already significant wait times for our inbound CGOs.  Please feel free to contact the Welcome Home Center Staff for off post rental assistance.

Policy Change 2:  Soldiers applying for housing can now opt to wait for a brand NEW home (not previously occupied).  Please keep in mind that this can increase your wait time, but if you are not in a rush, it will be worth the wait!

Policy Change 3:  Soldiers applying for housing can now indicate that they wish to wait for a home in a specific elementary school district if they so desire.  We know that we have many Families living off post that would prefer to wait for a home in their current Elementary School district so that their child will not be required to switch schools.

Policy change 4:  Current residents applying to move due to a gain in family member that will result in 3 family members sharing one bedroom may do so as a Priority 2 on the wait list as soon as they find out they are expecting a child.  The application will be placed on an administrative hold until they are within 60 days of the Expected Delivery Date.  Any time after that, they are subject to home offer. This policy change will help increase the chances of the family moving prior to the birth of the child.

Policy change 5: Option to select a Town house only or a ranch style home only.  Previously requests could only be made for upstairs or downstairs homes.  Now requests can be made to help put the family in the home style they desire.

Policy change 6: As of 1 September 2010, any Soldier who applies to live with Mountain Community Homes who has formerly lived with Mountain Community Homes and vacated that home for reasons other than PCS or ETS may do so as a Priority 4.  For a full explanation of this new policy, please contact your Community Management Office or the Welcome Home Center.
