Mountain Community Homes Ranked in Top 10 Army-wide

2009 Resident Satisfaction Survey Reports High Satisfaction Levels

Mountain Community Homes, the Residential Communities Initiative partnership formed between the United States Army and Actus Lend Lease, is ranked in the top ten Army-wide for “Overall Resident Satisfaction with the Complete Housing Experience” according to results from a third-party conducted survey. Each year, Mountain Community Homes residents are encouraged to participate in an Army-initiated survey to collect feedback on a variety of topics including maintenance, amenities and services provided, home conditions and overall satisfaction with their living experience with Mountain Community Homes. The results from the 2009 survey place Mountain Community Homes seventh out of 44 privatized housing Army installations for resident satisfaction.

“We take pride in ensuring the Soldiers and Families living with Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes have the best experience possible. It is very encouraging that the survey results indicate that our efforts have been recognized and our residents are happy they choose to live with us.” said Joseph McLaughlin, Project Director.

Each of the four communities (Adirondack Creek, Crescent Woods, Monument Ridge and Rhicard Hills) exceeded the Army goal for both “Overall Satisfaction with Services” and “Overall Satisfaction with Property.”

Since it’s 2005 inception, Mountain Community Homes proudly announces:

26% increase in complete housing experience

25% increase in overall satisfaction with services

25% increase in overall satisfaction with property

The areas with the highest satisfaction levels include services such as communications, maintenance and staff courtesy. The community, home attributes and safety and security of the property were also commended by respondents. Mountain Community Homes strives to provide a premier living experience for today’s military Families and realizes there is always an opportunity to improve. Action plans to maintain and to continue improving products and services for Soldiers and Families are in development to include enhancement projects throughout the community such as landscaping and home features.

The annual survey is conducted by a third-party company, EBI Inc., to ensure the accuracy and reliability of information gathered and compiled. It is implemented at all Army installations with privatized housing under the Residential Communities Initiative on an annual basis.
