Schools

Students who live with Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes attend the public school in either the Carthage Central School District or the Indian River Central School District. The community in which a Resident resides will determine their school district.
Indian River School District communities include Adirondack Creek, Crescent Woods, and Monument Ridge. Rhicard Hills is in the Carthage School District community.

 

School Support Services

Fort Drum’s School Support Services office is available to provide you with all the information needed about the local school districts, how to enroll, and more! Visit their website or give them a call at (315) 772-3214.

 

Childcare

Fort Drum’s Child and Youth Services (CYS) offers full-time, part-time, or hourly care, before and after school care, summer camps, middle school and teen programs, and more. Any child who wants to participate in any of the services that CYS has to offer must be registered with Parent Central Services. We have complied a list of some of the most used services and resources Fort Drum has to offer in one convenient place!

Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR): FMWR provides programs for families and youth, sports and fitness, recreation and more.

Army Community Services (ACS): ACS offers several programs and support for both individuals and families.

Veterinary Treatment Facility: Fort Drum’s Veterinary Treatment Facility offers routine care services for pets of military families.

Candlewood Suites on Fort Drum: Fort Drum offers on post lodging through IHG Army Hotels.

Robert C. McEwen Library: Fort Drum’s on post library offers a multimedia area, children’s library, periodical area, an open reading area with 60 computers and more.

Fitness Centers: Fort Drum offers three fitness centers to Soldiers and Families on post. To see their locations, hours of operation and programs available, visit their websites at:

Legal Assistance: Fort Drum offers personal legal assistance to Soldiers and their Families. To find out more information on what type of assistance can be provided, visit this site.

Post Exchange: offers a variety of shopping, fuel, and dining opportunities on post.

Commissary: located at 10730C Enduring Freedom Drive.

Gate information: anyone entering Fort Drum must present a valid DoD card. Individuals who do not possess a DoD card can visit the Visitor Control Center located at the Lt. Gen. Paul Cerjan gate.

Medical Care: Guthrie Ambulatory Health Care Clinic is Fort Drum’s medical care facility. It does not provide emergency care.

Maps & Directions

Our leasing office is located at the Welcome Home Center on the second floor of Clark Hall, 10720 Mt. Belvedere Blvd., Fort Drum, NY 13602.
FROM RT. 11/PAUL CERJAN MAIN GATE:

  • Continue through gate onto Iraqi Freedom Drive.
  • Take the second right turn onto Mt. Belvedere Boulevard.
  • Clark Hall will be on the right-hand side of the road.
FROM NY-283E/MT. BELVEDERE GATE:
  • Continue through gate onto Mt. Belvedere Boulevard.
  • Continue through three intersections and you will see Clark Hall on the left-hand side of the road.
