Pet Policy

As a pet-friendly community, we allow our residents to have up to three domesticated pets (cats or dogs). The third pet must be a cat or dog under 35 lbs. at breed maturity (upstairs apartments excluded from having three dogs).

All dogs must be registered with the Fort Drum Veterinary Clinic, up-to-date with vaccinations, micro chipped, and licensed with the Town of Leray. Dog breeds (including mixed breeds) deemed aggressive or potentially aggressive are not permitted unless the dog is a certified military working dog that is being boarded by its handler/trainer. The following breeds are deemed aggressive or potentially aggressive:

Pit bull (also known as: American Staffordshire Bull Terrier or English Staffordshire Bull Terrier), Rottweiler, Doberman Pinscher, Chow, Presa Canario, Cane Corso, Neapolitan Mastiff, Wolf and Wolf hybrids
